Welcome to VISIONS
VISIONS Montana Roots Gap program provides students with an educational and professional leg up as well as a fun and fulfilling alternative to virtual classrooms. Based on a historic, 80-acre ranch, participants will volunteer with organic farmers, earn a Wilderness First Responder certification and dig deep into sustainability issues.
Volunteer on organic farms and ranches, learn outdoor survival skills, harvest a bison, take hunter safety, complete sustainable community service projects, backpack across an iconic mountain range and more! This is fall, do more and be more.

Welcome to VISIONS
For over 30 years, VISIONS students have lived, worked and engaged with local communities while developing communication skills, an expanded worldview and a deep sense of fulfillment. The community-driven service work, cultural immersion and break from regular life at home make for a life-changing experience. This fall, we welcome you to step away from the computer screen and into the infamous Montana countryside.
The Montana Roots Gap Program provides an immersive experience in the Western way of life and educational opportunities in sustainable development practices, farming and ranching, permaculture, and wilderness skills. Service projects focus on sustainable agriculture as well as the preservation and understanding of natural resources.
