Welcome, Alumni!

Reconnect with the VISIONS tribe, share memories and access resources from our vast family across the globe.

Three Decades & Counting

VISIONS has worked in communities across the U.S. and abroad for 35 years. In all those years, thousands of teenagers, leaders, community members and other hard-working, passionate individuals have embarked on our service adventures. You’re a part of that family.

As VISIONS alumni, you’ve helped build schools, community centers, homes, irrigation systems, tribal ceremonial structures, playgrounds and wheelchair ramps. You’ve created murals for community buildings, worked on environmental initiatives and assisted with social service. You’ve even built dog houses for shelter animals! And this is only a fraction of the service accomplished by VISIONS alumni, all while living, laboring, laughing and exploring together.

Stay Connected with the VISIONS Family

Regardless of the role you played in the VISIONS story, alumni find that their experience continues to have an impact on their life, whether it’s been one year or three decades since their time with VISIONS.

With that in mind, we offer the Alumni Network to share memories and photos (check out our albums!), reconnect with people from your program, and tap into the vast network of resources from other alumni. Our alumni have forged impressive career paths around the world, and local partners continue to impact their communities in noteworthy ways.

What’s more, if you’re looking for ways to continue serving, this network will allow you the opportunity to do just that, staying up to date with service projects, fundraisers and other initiatives happening in the VISIONS world.

“I’m a VISIONS alum (Flathead Reservation summer of ‘91). My daughter is doing the BVI trip this summer. I am so excited for her. My summer with VISIONS was so important to who I am today.”

—Mara O.

What Are You Up To?

Once you’re part of the Alumni Network, you’ll have access to VISIONS news, photos from the archives, a roster of your fellow participants, as well as the ability to post your own updates and read updates from other alumni. Created in 2023, this network is just starting to build and we hope you’ll be part of it!

We regularly post Spotlights of alumni, leaders and local partners on our blog. If you’d like to be part of a Spotlight article about something unique you’ve been up to in your life, please let us know!

Lastly, if you’re on LinkedIn, feel free to connect with the VISIONS page. You can also add your VISIONS experience to your professional experience and/or volunteer experience as part of your profile.

THE JOURNEY OF GIVING BACK IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR SELF-DISCOVERY

“VISIONS was foundational for me, for many reasons, but primarily because it tied together my passions and paved the way for my career.”

VISIONS Foundation

VISIONS Foundation is our nonprofit arm, which promotes community development in our host communities and offers financial aid for students who would not otherwise have the means to attend a summer program. A number of alumni have done fundraising for initiatives related to their VISIONS experience and we also welcome donations to help increase our positive impact in the world.

Custom Programs for Alumni, Friends & Family

As part of the ongoing work to create positive ripple effects in people’s lives, VISIONS will be offering group Custom Programs for alumni, their friends and family. Some trips will be on set dates and locations, and open to our alumni— others are done upon request, on a year-round basis and for groups of at least ten people to any of our current program locations. Please contact us if this is something you’d be interested in!
