Welcome, Alumni!

Reconnect with the VISIONS tribe, share memories and access resources from our vast family across the globe.

35 Years & Counting

VISIONS has worked in communities around the world for 35 years. Thousands of teenagers, leaders, community members and other hard-working individuals have been part of our service adventures. As a VISIONS alum, you’re a part of that family.

You’ve helped build schools, community centers, homes, irrigation systems, tribal ceremonial structures, playgrounds and wheelchair ramps. And this is only a fraction of the service accomplished by VISIONS alumni, all while living, laboring, laughing and exploring together

Our alumni have continued to forge impressive paths in the world and local partners continue to impact their communities in noteworthy ways.

Connect with the Alumni Network

In a world where genuinely connecting can get sidelined by busy schedules and digital engagements, our yearning to preserve bonds with those who have shared life-changing moments grows stronger.

Here’s how to connect with the VISIONS community:

Connecting on Social

If you’re on LinkedIn, you can connect with the VISIONS page. While you’re there, add VISIONS to your professional experience if you were a leader or local partner. If you were a teen participant, then add VISIONS to your profile’s “volunteer experience.”

And, despite our mixed feelings about social media, you can follow us on instagram and check out our facebook albums of programs from over the years. If you have photos to share, please tag us from your own social accounts, upload pics to our albums, or send us an email and we’ll get the pics uploaded. Thank you!

VISIONS Foundation

VISIONS Foundation is our nonprofit that further supports communities around the world and also offers scholarships for kids who would like to be included in service programs, but who would not otherwise have the financial resources to attend. For example, Rebecca Edwards is from the Blackfeet Reservation, where we allocate a number of scholarships.

Several VISIONS alumni have gone on to do fundraising and other follow-up activities related to their program experience. Olivia Coward, for example, support folks in Peru through her artistry online business, and Daniel Shamah started a program for providing baseball supplies to his host community in the Dominican Republic.

We invite you to make a tax deductible donation to VISIONS Foundation to support our work and expand upon your VISIONS impact!

Help Spread the Word

VISIONS alumni have worked in 25 program locations around the world and we continue to work in four of our longest-standing sites: D.R. and Montana Blackfeet Reservation (since 1991), British Virgin Islands (1992), and Peru (1999). Our mission remains steadfast and service is our way of thanking communities for sharing their lives with us.

Helps us stay focused on our mission and delivering powerful programs by sharing information about VISIONS to people in your life who might be interested. We appreciate any connections you can share in terms of press releases, parent and student networks, or simply giving our information to friends who you think might be interested in VISIONS. Please also consider writing a review on google or TeenLife about your experience, even if it was years ago!

Stories & Spotlights: What Are You Up To?

We regularly post Spotlights of alumni, leaders and local partners. If there is an update or something you’d like to share about your life, please submit here or reach out to us! We publish spotlights on our website and some also make it to our newsletters!

Spotlights can also recount connections that you made while on the program, a life path that got altered, or other VISIONS stories, such as this one in Alaska, about an Elder-Youth Center we constructed in the early 2000s that ended up serving as a refuge when almost all other local infrastructure collapsed during a record-breaking earthquake.

Whatever your story may be, we’d love to hear from you.

Custom Programs

As part of the ongoing work to create positive ripple effects in people’s lives, VISIONS offers group Custom Programs for alumni, their friends and family. Some trips will be on set dates and locations while others are done upon request. Trips are on a year-round basis for groups of at least ten people to any of our current program locations.

Contact us if this is something you’d be interested in!

VISIONS Vibes

Finally, maybe you want to show your colors by donning a VISIONS t-shirt or hoodie! The t-shirts are made from recycled plastic bottles and the hoodies from organic cotton. While we generally promote thrifting, second-hand and keeping swag to a minimum, we do provide each VISIONS summer participant with a tee and they are also available to alumni for $20, including shipping. Hoodies are $60.
