Once Wasn’t Enough: Alumni Returning for Another Summer with VISIONS

Grace joined VISIONS in the Dominican Republic in 2025 and will be heading to Peru this summer!

1. What made you decide to come back to VISIONS?

I met so many friends that I’m still in contact with today! I loved the community, and it was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

2. What’s one moment from last summer that best shows what VISIONS is like?

Playing games and learning Spanish with the locals was a highlight. It showed how close-knit the community is, and I loved how much they enjoyed having us there.

3. When did you feel the most connected, challenged, or alive last summer?

I learned never to take things for granted. I’m grateful for all that I have and how lucky I am.

4. What would someone miss out on if they didn’t come to VISIONS? 

Traveling to new places with new friends can be deeply healing in a way that staying home can’t. My two weeks in the Dominican Republic without a phone helped clear my mind, and I’ve never felt happier.
