Patricia Nielsen

Patricia is a bona fide Montana girl, born and raised in Bozeman. She graduated from Montana State University with a B.S. in Sociology, with a focus on Criminology. Through her education, she gained an appreciation for how social relationships, cultures, and institutions shape individual identities and developed a passion for understanding how these differences shape our views on social inequalities. She has a deep sense of community and believes in communal effort to create a society where everyone is recognized and valued, which ultimately led her toward a career in Human Resources.

Patricia has a love for numbers and started out in accounting before changing her major. Her chosen employers over the last ten years in accounting/HR all reflect her principles—small businesses that also value community and create experiences by learning through immersion.

Her adventurous spirit has also taken her to the international stage, where she was able to go on two international tours to Europe through the choir at Montana State University. She also had the incredible opportunity to attend the Winter Olympics in South Korea. She loves to eat and drink her way through vacations, and spend a lot of time in her garden in Tucson, AZ, where she has lived for the past three years with her boyfriend.
