Partnering with local vets, teens contribute to animal welfare through spay & neuter clinics. These volunteer opportunities for high schoolers teach empathy & educate teens the importance of caring for all aspects of their community, including the animals.
Animal welfare is an important aspect of VISIONS volunteer opportunities for high schoolers. On the Montana Blackfeet Indian Reservation, teens help foster these wonderful puppies and sometimes adopt them, bringing them to their new forever home!
Jack was joined us over the summer on our final community service program for teens in the BVI. He and a friend have organized a non-profit that collects and distributes tools to communities in need. He hopes to send tools to the BVI as a thank you for the wonderful time he had during his stay.
Anni Lindenberg Knox led VISIONS programs in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Montana and The Dominican Republic from 2003 through 2006. Her experience as a summer leader inspired her to continue her education and make it into her career.
