VISIONS Service Adventures has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Summer Programs for 2024 by TeenLife, and we are even more excited to share that we have secured a spot in the Top 3 Community Service Programs for the year. This distinction of best volunteer opportunities for high school students is a testament to our commitment to providing transformative service and immersion experiences for teenagers, both abroad and in the United States, over our 35-year history.

A Rich History of Transformation & Volunteer Opportunities for Teenagers

For more than three decades, VISIONS has been dedicated to creating life-changing opportunities for teens. Our programs focus on community service, cultural immersion, and personal growth, allowing participants to develop essential life skills and make a positive impact on the world.

Founded in 1988, VISIONS was one of the original volunteering organizations for teenagers. Now with an alumni network of approximately 10,000 students, many of whom are now sending their own teenagers to experience a VISIONS program, our legacy speaks volumes about the lasting impact we have had on generations of young adults.

Lasting Impact on Generations of Young Adults

Furthermore, VISIONS has worked in twenty-five host communities over the years, from Jamaica to Vietnam, Montana Indian Reservations to Peru, and so many more. In each of these diverse locations, VISIONS teams of teenage volunteers and adult leaders have undertaken a wide range of community service projects, leaving a lasting positive impact.

We have helped build schools that offer children access to quality education, constructed medical clinics to provide essential healthcare services, and participated in environmental initiatives to promote sustainability and protect natural resources. Our commitment to animal welfare has extended to animal shelters and wildlife conservation efforts, ensuring the well-being of animals in need.

Through these projects, VISIONS has not only helped to serve essential needs but has also nurtured strong bonds between our participants and the communities they serve, fostering cross-cultural understanding and leaving behind a legacy of goodwill.

Accolades & Recognition

TeenLife is a trusted authority when it comes to connecting teens and parents with enriching summer and gap year programs. VISIONS has been awarded the top rankings for many years, and has been recognized by many other organizations and journals, as well.

We are honored to receive this distinction, and are even more honored to work with motivated teens and welcoming local organizations every year. It is their passion for service, cultural exchange, and personal development that has allowed us to stand out in the world of summer programs.

VISIONS is the best experience I’ve ever had. I would do it again in a heartbeat. There is no way for me to possibly describe the way it changed my outlook on life, my worldview, and myself as a person. The relationships I formed and the experiences I had are both priceless and unforgettable.
