Cambodia community service projects completed in partnership with Prek Preah Sdach Primary School.

  • Constructed a 2-by-112-foot wall with nine 5-foot pillars:
    • Cleared trash and debris from property.
    • Dug a trench for the foundation using hoes, shovels and pry bars.
    • Filled the trench with stone, concrete and rebar, creating the foundation.
    • Framed the walls with rebar pillars and wood.
    • Filled the rebar pillars with concrete and the walls with concrete and bricks.
    • Painting the walls.
    • Prek Preah Sdach serves about 200 children year-round. Before this project, there was no perimeter wall enclosing the school..
  • Led classes for about 200 primary school students that aimed to improve their English:
    • Developed lesson plans and lesson debriefs.
    • Included games which incorporated lesson themes and introduced new vocabulary.
    • Practiced sentence construction and conversations and provided lesson reviews at the end of each day.
