1. What inspired you to join VISIONS?

I was inspired by the opportunity to help others through this experience.

2. What experiences have shaped your passion for community service and youth development?

I have always felt that my purpose in life is to help people and animals. Since I was a child, I’ve experienced moments where I felt the joy of helping others, and that helped me understand how powerful it is when we support one another.

3. What is your favorite achievement?

My favorite achievement was winning first place in a school photography contest. That’s when I realized that photography is one of my passions.

4. What is your favorite place you’ve traveled?

My favorite place is Puerto Rico! I lived there for six years while I was in college. The beaches in Puerto Rico are the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, and I would love to visit again soon.

5. What is the best advice you’ve received?

Even when a situation seems very difficult or impossible to overcome, time can be our greatest ally in making things better.

6. What do you hope to accomplish this summer?

I hope to help anyone who needs me. I also want to challenge myself in situations I may find difficult and grow through those experiences.

7. What are you most excited about this summer?

I’m excited to meet new people, to guide and support you through this incredible experience in Peru, and also to continue learning more about my own country.

8. If you had to give one piece of advice or words of encouragement to someone on their first VISIONS experience, what would it be?

I would tell them to take full advantage of this very rewarding experience. Peru—especially Cusco—has a special charm. You’re going to take away some truly beautiful memories from this trip, and I’m so happy to be part of your journey and help you discover our culture.
