Leyri Garcia
Dominican Republic Director
Leyri Garcia is a seasoned professional in the field of educational exchange programs and experiential learning. He first came into the VISIONS community in 2010, drawn by the service work and opportunities for cross-cultural friendships. At the time, Leyri was a member of the Leos (the junior club for Lion’s Club) in Santo Domingo, and a few years later he became a leader on our Dominican Republic team.
Now a year-round employee with VISIONS, Leyri also helps with many of the operations and logistics involved in providing well-crafted experiences for teens as well as customer service to families. He also leads VISIONS Custom Programs for school groups and families to provide community service opportunities during Spring Breaks, holidays, and special sessions.
You can read more about Leyri here. He will be joined in the Dominican Republic by his full leader team and he’s excited to meet the new crew of teen volunteers this summer!
