Maureen began traveling at a young age to visit extended family in Europe and has been answering the call for voyages ever since. Maureen attended the University of Pittsburgh, earning a Bachelors in both English and Studio Arts, and later a Masters in Teaching. While studying, Maureen taught at a primary school during a semester abroad in London, where she had a chance to truly immerse herself in a community overseas. She has continued to seek opportunities that produce meaningful connections and broaden her knowledge of the world at large.
Exploring nature has always played a role in Maureen’s life, but her true passion is connecting with and supporting others. She is a firm believer that human connection is vital for our future, both as individuals and collectively, as a planet. She is excited to form new connections with VISIONS participants and our local community in Peru, where she will be joined by her leader team!
