Water Conservation, Andean Treasures & Indigenous Peruvian Immersion

  • Make your home-away-from home in breathtaking Urubamba, at the base of the Andes in Peru’s iconic Sacred Valley.
  • Work with indigenous Quechua farmers on meaningful water conservation and irrigation projects.
  • Immerse yourself in Spanish practice and delve into workshops on chocolate-making, carpentry, pottery and weaving.

  • One leader to every four or five participants sets VISIONS apart among service summer programs for teens.
  • Most participants attend on their own, and no more than two friends can attend the same program together. 
  • Language immersion programs longer than 15 days require two years of language study or the equivalent in life experience.
