We hate saying goodbye!

The VISIONS Montana Northern Cheyenne Indian Resevation middle school program wrapped up today, and the kids are homeward bound. These middle school volunteers worked hard for the community of Lame Deer, with light construction projects and work with kids and seniors. They were also introduced to the Northern Cheyenne culture, working alongside community partners, and hearing stories about the traditions that still exist on the reservation today. They made a visit to the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, the site of Custer’s infamous Last Stand, and experienced the Montana wilderness on a backpacking trip. Here’s a photo of the Northern Cheyenne middle schoolers! We hope they will join us for another VISIONS experience at a different program location next summer!

NOTE: We don’t post regular updates due to the busy and living-in-the-moment nature of our programs, as well as our desire to remain largely “unplugged” from technology in order to be fully “plugged in” to daily life.
