Roll up your sleeves and join us for an immersion program in the Dominican Republic or Peru! During projects and excursions, while enjoying meals with community members, and in day-to-day life while you live as part of a local neighborhood…you can’t resist practicing your Spanish.
Where We Live
While service work is at the root of each teen service program, it’s in equal measure with cultural immersion that transcends the experience of an average tourist. In all of our homes away from home, we live very much as local people do, and we are part of the fabric of daily life.

2019 Summer Program Highlights
As this summer 2019 begins to wrap up, VISIONS summer service trips continue to build, bond and explore. The following highlights provide overviews of the service projects, cultural experiences and adventures that are unique to each program.
Spotlight: Nico Jara (Peru Project Coordinator)
In 1999, the world population exceeded six billion, Y2K hysteria stoked fears of societal collapse, popular music was dominated by Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys, and VISIONS established one of our deepest community connections with the Peru Summer Program. Nico Jara…
