Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Stacey is an avid fan of the Pacific Northwest. She studied History and Political Science at Tulane University in New Orleans, where she also took advantage of the opportunity to spend a year abroad in Italy. The experience fueled a desire to spend more time overseas, so after graduating, she earned her certification to teach English as a second language. For four years, she taught English or taught in bilingual schools in Spain, Peru, Honduras, and Tunisia. She worked with students of all ages and is immeasurably grateful for all these experiences.

Her love of travel and exploring brought Stacey to VISIONS Service Adventures in the summer of 2019 to help teens find the same sort of cross-cultural experiences that have impacted her life. The overwhelmingly positive experience of her summer as a leader in the Dominican Republic inspired her return to the US and decision to join the year-round VISIONS office staff.
