Raised in Bozeman, Montana, Kodee developed an affinity for the outdoors and the adventures in the Big Sky state. She studied History-Political Science, Spanish, and Business in Jamestown, North Dakota, while also playing on the school’s soccer team. She first left the country to study Spanish in Costa Rica and developed a passion for travel.
After graduating, Kodee toured the U.S. raising funds for a micro-financing foundation before heading to Latin America to teach English and immerse herself in Spanish-speaking cultures. She fell in love with teaching during her time abroad and returned to the U.S. as an experiential educator on the East Coast.
A mix of outdoor adventure and education fits Kodee perfectly. It allowed her to travel to a number of different continents while volunteering at educational and conservation areas and getting to know the communities and people in a lasting way.
In addition to joining the VISIONS home office as an Outreach Coordinator, Kodee is one of VISIONS most seasoned program leaders. Her first summer with VISIONS was in 2013 in the Dominican Republic, and she has also led and directed summer and custom programs in Peru, Ecuador, and the British Virgin Islands. She now looks forward to spending time in another part of her home state of Montana, on the Blackfeet reservation, where she’ll also be joined by a full team of qualified leaders.
