
Killian is an outdoors enthusiast, environmental activist, and a leader. He puts his all into whatever he is doing, whether it be rock climbing, gardening, or teaching leadership skills. Raised in Oregon, Killian earned degrees in Outdoor Studies and Environmental Studies at Alaska Pacific University. He has been a field instructor for National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and worked with school groups in the field during the fall and spring in the Appalachians. During the winter, he is a backcountry skiing guide and caretaker of a yurt camp deep in Oregon’s Wallowa Mountains.

In his spare time, Killian enjoys paragliding, gardening, and meditating. He has been known for pushing himself and others in positive, productive ways. Killian plans to continue to live a life centered around nature, community, and sustainability. Killian joins the VISIONS Montana Roots Gap Program leadership this fall.
