Deb Earl

Outreach Coordinator

Visions Service Adventures Executive Director Katherine Dayton

Deb, based in Bozeman, Montana, is at home around the world. Her travels have taken her from Indiana, where she grew up, throughout the U.S., and to more than 30 countries. What she loves most about being a citizen of the world is the perspectives she gains as she interacts with locals and the resulting expansion of her worldview. She also delights in building relationships with people and believes that the relationships we build across cultures lead to more harmony in our world. She loves putting those beliefs into practice through her work with VISIONS.

Following undergraduate studies, Deb interned with the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC) in Colorado. BOEC ignited a love for the mountains, outdoor adventure, and a passion for guiding participants in reaching goals previously thought unattainable. The following summer as part of her graduate program she traveled to Russia to run a day camp at the US Embassy. This foray into international travel was the second spark, setting the course for a lifelong journey that integrates outdoor adventure with international work and travel.

Deb’s professional life has included guiding and managing wilderness programs such as Outward Bound, coordinating and facilitating team building and diversity training in Connecticut and Massachusetts, teaching outdoor adventure skills to people with disabilities in Colorado and Vermont, and guiding university students in study abroad opportunities at Montana State University. She also volunteers in her local communities where one of her favorite gigs included judging the American Song Contest in Kyrgyzstan.
